Book AppointmentThe Canadian Dental Care Plan is a federal program designed to make dental care more affordable for Canadians who don't have access to private insurance. It helps cover essential services so cost isn't a barrier to care.
Cambie Dental Centre is a registered CDCP provider. If you qualify, you can use your benefits here for exams, cleanings, fillings, and other covered services without extra hassle.
The CDCP is for Canadians without private coverage who meet income and residency criteria. Here's the checklist.
No private dental insurance — employer, spousal, or individual.
You and your spouse or partner filed taxes in Canada last year.
Your household's adjusted family net income is under $90,000.
You're a resident of Canada for tax purposes.

Applying is straightforward once you have the right documents ready. Follow these three steps to get started.

Have your SIN, address, tax info, Notice of Assessment, and any government dental coverage details ready.

Apply online through My Service Canada Account (recommended), Canada.ca, or by calling Service Canada.

Once approved, you'll receive confirmation. Choose digital communications for faster updates.
The CDCP has coverage limitations depending on the service. Fee differences and out-of-pocket costs may apply based on your income and the treatment you need.
Before booking, check your CDCP enrollment status and renewal date. Coverage must be active on the day of your visit for us to bill the plan directly.
Bring your CDCP confirmation letter, SIN, and photo ID to your first visit. This lets us verify coverage and process billing without delay.

Once you're enrolled, using your benefits here is simple. Follow these steps and we'll take care of the rest.

Check if you qualify and apply through Canada.ca or My Service Canada Account.

Once approved, reach out to confirm your appointment and ask what to bring with you.

We'll review your treatment plan and walk through any expected out-of-pocket costs first.
Coverage includes preventive care, diagnostics, and restorations. Specific rules and limits apply depending on the service.
Understanding your value and goals is the first step in providing the best tailored care that is suitable for YOU. Thoughtful, honest, and educational is core to our approach from Day One.
