Composite Veneers: Reshaping Your Smile in One Visit

Composite veneers let us reshape a smile in a single appointment, sculpting tooth‑colored resin directly onto your teeth. For the right candidate, it is one of the most satisfying same‑day treatments we offer.

What Composite Veneers Are

Composite veneers are thin layers of tooth‑colored resin applied and shaped directly on the front of your teeth. Unlike porcelain, they are built by hand in the chair, which means no impressions sent to a lab and no temporary phase.

Because the material bonds to your existing enamel, we can often improve shape, close small gaps, and even out edges while removing very little tooth structure. That conservative approach appeals to many of our Vancouver patients.

The Single‑Visit Process

In one visit we clean the tooth, apply the resin in layers, and sculpt it to the shape we planned together. The material is then hardened, trimmed, and polished until it blends with the surrounding teeth.

Most people are surprised how comfortable the appointment is, since it usually requires little or no freezing. You walk out the same day with a finished result rather than a placeholder.

Who Is A Good Candidate

Composite veneers suit smiles that need refinement rather than a complete rebuild, such as worn edges, minor gaps, or a few teeth that sit slightly out of proportion. Healthy gums and reasonably sound enamel make the result more predictable.

During your consult at Cambie Dental we assess your bite and habits, since heavy grinding can shorten the life of any veneer. If composite is not the best fit, we will say so and discuss alternatives honestly.
