A comprehensive exam starts with a careful look at every tooth for decay, cracks, wear, and the condition of any existing fillings or crowns. We are building a complete map of your mouth, not just hunting for one obvious problem.
We also check how your teeth come together when you bite. An uneven bite can quietly cause wear, sensitivity, or jaw discomfort, so it is part of the bigger picture we want to understand.
Gums And Soft Tissues
Healthy gums are the foundation for healthy teeth, so we assess how your gums look and whether they bleed or pull away from the teeth. Early gum changes are very treatable when we catch them in time.
We also examine the soft tissues of your cheeks, tongue, and the floor of your mouth. This gentle check is a routine part of keeping your whole mouth healthy, not just your teeth.
Talking Through Findings
After the exam, we walk you through what we found in plain language. If everything looks good, you will hear that clearly, and if something needs attention we explain your options without pressure.
